Quick Answer
Loot the blue building, central building and L-shaped building at Cheonwang Peak Array, then extract and sell valuables; for cash you can't lose, run Dynamic Ops, which pay up to 20,000 DMZ Cash straight into your bank. The money isn't in one lucky gold bar: it's in hitting up to three safes in one small compound in the middle of Hajin and getting out with everything. The first two safes are the reliable ones; treat the third safe and any gold bar as a bonus.
What is the best way to make money in MW4 DMZ?
Run Cheonwang Peak Array: check the blue building, the fourth floor of the central server building and the upstairs room of the L-shaped building, then extract with your valuables.
Cheonwang Peak Array is the telecom array on the flat summit in the middle of the Hajin map, just west of The Grid and south of Mujin Pass. It's a Medium threat area; map guides put it at grid E6 or F6, so look around E6–F6 on your Tac Map. The buildings are the old DBN TV station, now enemy barracks, so expect close fights indoors.
Why here: it's a really small compound packed with loot, so you spend your time looting instead of running between areas. Loot is still random, so the route gives you the best odds, not a fixed haul.
Start at the blue building
Go in through the doors of the blue building, grab the weapon crate just inside, then find the first safe. This safe is there every time. Expect some cash and a stack of valuables from it.
The blue building is your first safe stop. Check the weapon crate as you enter.

Head to the big building in the middle of the compound: the taller server building beside the telecom mast, with blue-and-white stairs inside. Enter through the side door, go to the stairs at the back and climb to the fourth floor. Run through the half server room and out the rear door; the second safe is right there.
Look behind the fourth-floor server room for the second safe.
Shown at 05:08 in Arekkz Gaming’s video. This safe showed up on every run too. Check the cases nearby for weapon manuals; they turned up here as well. Gold bars can drop from these safes, but that's RNG, so don't plan around one.
The compound has a UAV tower you can activate to lock the area down while you loot.
Search the server floors on your way down
Before you leave the central building, sweep floors two and three. On floor two, walk along the server racks and spam the loot button while you look up and down; the prompt only appears on the lootable ones. Comms modules for stash upgrades turn up here.
The detour gets you upgrade materials on top of the cash. Keep what you need for your FOB upgrades and bag the blue valuables to sell after the match.
Check upstairs in the L-shaped building
Leave the central building and find the small L-shaped building just outside. Go around the side and take the stairs up; "there's no other way to get into this room apart from there". The upstairs room has lockers and the third safe spot.
The upstairs room contains lockers and the third safe location. Reach it using the stairs around the side.

There are three safe rooms here, but don't count on three safes every run. As of October 2026, the L-shaped building's safe is described both as one that's only sometimes there and as guaranteed. Check all three spots, but budget for two. For other safe routes, see safe locations and robbery.
The area is fairly quiet, but a lieutenant can spawn in the compound. Colossus shows up here, and he turns aggressive once you pull aggro. Once your bag is full of valuables, get out instead of turning a quick loot loop into a long fight.
Here's what one run's haul was worth:
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Gold bar | 25k |
| Three crypted archives | 6k |
| Nuclear program files | 6k |
That's one run, not a set payout. Loot here is RNG, so don't hang around just to chase another gold bar.
Are Dynamic Ops a consistent way to make money in MW4 DMZ?
Yes, they're the most reliable cash in DMZ right now. Pick a Dynamic Op when you deploy instead of Free Roam, finish it against the AI, and it pays up to 20,000 DMZ Cash.
The big difference from the safe route: Operations pay straight into your bank, so you keep that cash even if you die before exfil. Valuables from safes are only worth something once you extract.
| Way to earn | When you get paid |
|---|---|
| Dynamic Op | Straight to bank, up to 20,000 |
| Side Op | Straight to bank, smaller payout |
| Story Mission | Mission reward, the casino one pays well |
| Valuables from safes | Only after you extract and sell |
Side Ops are mini versions of Dynamic Ops: quicker and easier, but they pay a lot less. Chain a few when they're close together.
Run your cash farming on a low-level operator. Rescue costs go up with each operator level, so losing a cheap operator on a money run costs you little, while your best operator stays home for geared runs hunting keys and rare loot.
How does the MW4 DMZ money glitch work?
The money glitch duplicates a blueprint weapon through a protected backpack weapon slot: you extract with both copies and sell one.
Here's the sequence:
- Bring a backpack with a protected weapon slot and a blueprint weapon.
- Swap out some of the blueprint's original attachments. The glitch restores the originals alongside your replacements.
- During the deployment, put the weapon in the protected slot and drop it on the ground. It turns ultra-rare.
- With the weapon in the protected slot, spam the equip button until you have one weapon in the backpack and another in your hands.
- Extract with both weapons, then sell one.
Glitches like this can stop working with any update, so don't count on it in your match. The protected slot and blueprint weapon are what it needs, not a promise of a payout. See item and weapon duplication for that mechanic on its own.
Values at each stage:
| Stage | Value |
|---|---|
| Starting weapon | 10k |
| After rarity change | 13,300 |
| Each weapon after extraction | 30k |
| Balance before sale | 119k |
| Balance after sale | 149k |
Don't add those up into a per-deployment income. The 30k sale only happens after you extract, and an exploit like this is likely to be fixed soon, so there's no telling how long it lasts.
On your next run, do the safe route and plan how to exfil before you add another stop. Nothing counts until you get your valuables out.
FAQ
Loot Cheonwang Peak Array in the middle of the map: the blue building, the central server building and the L-shaped building. Then extract and sell the valuables you picked up.
Dynamic Ops. Pick one when you deploy, finish it and it pays up to 20,000 DMZ Cash straight into your bank, even if you don't make it out.
Take the cash and valuables from the safes, extract, and sell the valuables after the match. Blue valuables still add up even when no gold bar drops.
No. Don't budget around the 30k. It needs a blueprint weapon, a protected backpack slot, the duplication to actually work and a successful extraction.
Check all three spots, but expect two safes. As of October 2026, the L-shaped building's safe is described both as occasional and as guaranteed.
A gold bar is a great drop, but build the run around valuables in general. One gold bar is worth 25k, and the loot is RNG.
