Quick Answer

The eight keypad codes in Stranded, the campaign mission that works as a DMZ preview, are 0024, 8609, 0078, 0600, 1234, 6789 for the six shipping containers and 0330, 0008 for the two hidden bunkers. The codes are fixed, so they work in every playthrough.

Which keypad code opens which container?

Each locked shipping container has a note on its door with a few old codes. The code you need is the next one in that list. The numbers in brackets are the tacmap coordinates shown when you move the map cursor over the spot.

LocationTypeCodeTacmap
Base CampContainer0024644, 158
South of Jamming StationContainer8609667, 125
South East VillageContainer0078652, 187
Cliff Near Base CampContainer0600646, 149
Big SignContainer1234634, 136
Small IslandContainer6789618, 132
Farm Field Hidden BunkerBunker0330631, 127
Island Hidden BunkerBunker0008615, 169

Open the Base Camp container first. It sits next to the radio tower you see when the mission starts, and the intel inside marks the other locked containers on your tacmap, so you don't have to search the whole map for them.

Why do players call these DMZ keypad codes?

Stranded is Mission 10 of the Modern Warfare 4 campaign, and it plays like a small DMZ match: you land with a backpack, scavenge an open map, clear outposts and fast travel between them. Many video guides label it "MW4 DMZ" for that reason. The keypads, containers and bunkers on this page are all inside Stranded, not in the DMZ mode itself.

How do you work out a container code from its note?

Find the pattern in the old codes and take one more step. Every container note uses one of two patterns:

  • Same step each time. Base Camp lists 0006, 0012 and 0018, so each code adds 6 and the next is 0024. South East Village adds 22 (0012, 0034, 0056, then 0078). Cliff Near Base Camp goes down by 2,900 (9300, 6400, 3500, then 0600).
  • Each digit moves on its own. South of Jamming Station changes digit by digit until it reaches 8609. Big Sign fills in 1-2-3-4 one digit at a time. Small Island slides along a run of numbers, 3456, 4567, 5678, to 6789.

Every code has four digits. If your answer is shorter, add zeros in front.

How do you get the two hidden bunker codes?

The bunker notes don't list old codes. They tell you to add up outpost numbers on the tacmap, and an outpost only shows its number after you clear it, so clear the outposts before you do the sum.

  • Farm Field Hidden Bunker: 0330. The note asks for the sum of all logistics station numbers. The four stations are #10, #20, #100 and #200, which add up to 330. Infantry checkpoints don't count.

The Farm Field note: add the Logistics Station numbers together.

  • Island Hidden Bunker: 0008. The note asks for the sum of the infantry checkpoints along the river. Only checkpoints #1, #2 and #5 are by the river, and 1 + 2 + 5 = 8. Leave out the checkpoints up in the mountains, or the total comes out wrong.

The Island note: add the Infantry Checkpoints along the river.

What about keypads in the DMZ mode itself?

DMZ keypads don't use fixed codes. In Operation Shopping Hacks, the mall security code is shown on the laptop note you hack at the NuriGO Mall encampment and repeated in your objective line. In Operation Iron Citadel, you collect three code fragments from notes in the Chang-san Air Base bunker, and the armory keypad takes the six digits your tracker shows. The Iron Citadel armory code page walks through that route.

Locked rooms in DMZ that need an item rather than digits are covered on the MW4 DMZ keys page.
